Bio-Psychology Overview
Psychobiology, also called biopsychology, is the scientific study of mental functioning and behavior in relation to other biological processes, or put another way, of the effects of cognition, emotions, and experience on animal physiology. Psychobiology also studies the biology of behavior and mental processes. Psychoactive drug use predates recorded history. Hunter-gatherer societies tend to favor hallucinogenic drugs, and today their use can still be observed in many surviving tribal cultures. Read more...
