The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) selected Thomas Connor, research biologist in the NIOSH Division of Applied Research and Technology, as the recipient of the Society's 2008 award for a non-pharmacist's contribution to pharmacy. The award recognizes Tom's and NIOSH's leadership in recommending ways to prevent occupational exposures to hazardous drugs in health-care settings.
